  • To provide a service to support geodetic, geophysical and astrometric research and operational activities.
  • To interact with the community of users of VLBI products and to integrate VLBI into a global Earth observing system.
  • To promote research and development activities in all aspects of the geodetic and astrometric VLBI technique.

Reminder: Cast your vote! (January 17)
The voting period in the representative elections will come to an end on Friday, January 20 @ 23:59:59 UT. Cast your vote before the time expires. The ballot form for the IVS Associate Members can be found under the Elections heading of the IVS 2016 Directing Board Elections main page.

2016 General Meeting Proceedings (January 13)
The Web version of the Proceedings from the 2016 General Meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa, is now available. The printed version of the publication will be mailed to meeting attendees.

Call for 2015+2016 Biennial Report (December 8)
The IVS Directing Board invites all IVS components to submit reports for the IVS 2015+2016 Biennial Report. The Biennial Report will cover the calendar years 2015 and 2016, that is the period from 1 January 2015 through 31 December 2016. Reports are due by January 31, 2017.

December Newsletter (December 6)
The December issue of the IVS Newsletter was posted on the Web site and the print version will be sent to the IVS mailing list in the next days. This issue features an interview with IVS Chair Axel Nothnagel completing his first four-year term as chair.

2016 Directing Board Elections (November 4)
The IVS Election Committee solicits nominations for three representative positions and three at-large positions on the board. The deadlines for nominations are December 16 (representative) and January 30 (at-large). Further information can be found in the Call for Nominations.
